* ZHS Choir competed in the State Choir Festival in Lake Charles.  The Women's Chorale and the Acapella Choir received sweepstakes - the highest possible rating! 

*Amanda Wallace and Lonica Wallace were both winners in the Capital Area Reading Council's Young Authors Contest.  Lonica won for her non-fiction entry, and Amanda won for her poetry.  A special ceremony will be held to honor these two young ladies on May 6th.

*Adam Parker placed 1st in Foods/Nutrition at the State Literary Rally.
