Percussion

This one year course is designed for the members of the drumline. Drumline auditions are held each spring, and a successful audition is required for membership in this class. Percussion class focuses on marching band playing and techniques during the fall semester, and total percussion techniques in the spring semester.

Jazz Ensemble

This one year course is an auditioned ensemble that is designed for high-level musicians who have an interest in jazz and improvisation. This ensemble performs a wide variety of styles including swing, latin, ballads, and funk.

Symphonic Winds

This one year course is an auditioned band that is designed for high level players who are interested in pushing themselves as musicians. During the fall semester, we focus on marching band, and during the spring semester we focus on challenging concert music.

Concert Band

This one year course is a band that is only auditioned for chair placement and not for membership. Any student who enjoys playing, or wants to develop better musicianship would fit in this class. During the fall semester, we focus on marching band, and during the spring semester we focus on challenging concert music.

Guitar

This course is designed for students who want to gain a basic knowledge of guitar and music theory. Students should be able to perform easy guitar music of various styles by the conclusion of the course.
