The primary purpose of the Social Studies program at Zachary High School is to promote an understanding of the world, human interaction, and cultural diversity and to equip students with the knowledge and understanding of the past, which is essential for coping with the present and planning for the future.  Students completing the Zachary High School Social Studies program will have the academic, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills that will assist them in becoming responsible and productive citizens.
